• What is a PV-T (hybrid) collector? A PV-T collector is a combined assembly of: • One PV module - for the conversion of electrical energy • One Solar heat exchanger - for the conversion of thermal energy • One aluminium frame work. See for the explanation and functioning of the systems: “What is PV, what is ST”. Besides heat extraction/conversion of the so called heat absorber system of the Solar Thermal Section, this absorber system has a second function: The heat-absorbing and cooling of the PV-module. Because of this a higher voltage output is obtained. ( up to 40%) |

• What can be achieved with a PV-T collector? With one/several PV-T collectors you can setup a so-called “Total Solar Energy System”, for both electric and thermal energy generation. Also because of its cooling-effect on the PV module this system has a higher efficiency at a much lower cost price than separate systems “Good Price / Performance”. In combination with geothermal storage / recycling, this system is very suitable for use by companies and institutions with relatively high hot-water and heat usage, e.g. |

• Choice PV - ST or PV-T system The sale of the obtained PV-energy (kWh) to the public power system, with application of the German EEG regulation is almost unlimited. So revenue will be guaranteed. However the sale of the obtained ST energy/heat is dependent on the project. It is no use to obtain and store heat, if it is not used. Therefore the installation to be selected must correspond with the annual energy usage of hot-water and/or heating of the buildings |
